Concert: Fish from Oblivion

Event on: 2015-June 6th 7:00 PM - 9:30 PM

Fish from Oblivion

Presents

Planting Hope in Palestine

Saturday 6 June 2015

At 19:30 in St. Dominic’s Priory Hall, Station Road, Stone ST15 8EN

Tickets £8 and £5 students.  Refreshments will be served in the interval.

Stafford’s own world music vocal group, Fish from Oblivion, presents a new programme of songs from around the world and across the ages, with songs about exile and migration, separation and loss, and finding hope and our common humanity through music.

Gerry, Tim, Helen, Camilla and Neil will sing narratives in umpteen languages without instruments or a safety net, with material drawn from Americana to Shape Note, from Bulgarian great grannies to Georgian robbers, and from Brecht to Vile. We plan to provide plenty to think on, join in with, challenge and inspire. WARNING: may contain nuts and crackers.
