Sumud’s screening of “5 Broken Cameras” at the Foxlowe Arts Centre on in Leek on was a considerable success. The event was orchestrated by Peter Kent-Baguley and the Major of Leek, John Fisher, attended. John is preparing an article for Spark, a local newspaper and plans to screen the film under the auspices of Churches Together in January. Sumud and Peter will be meeting to share ideas of what next steps he and the Foxlowe may take to promote a continuing interest and practical concern for Palestine. This must include not only promoting Sumud’s aims but becoming active participants in the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions Campaign.
