Sumud Palestine invites supporters to join with us in welcoming the bikers on Friday, 29 July who are expected to arrive around 6.45 pm at Equality Hall in Raymond Street, Hanley ST1 4DP where the City Centre Mosque will be hosting them.
About 250 cyclists are expected; most will be accommodated at a Staffordshire University Hall of Residence and those who cannot afford this will bed down in Equality Hall.
Local bikers may cycle to meet the bikers, who will have paused in Rocester to hand in a letter to JCB protesting the use of JCB machinery in the Occupied Territories and Gaza.
Cyclists may like to join the bikers at 9.00 am on Saturday morning to ride to the city boundary or on to Manchester where the bikers will be welcomed amid some fanfare and celebration.
If you wish to join in or be kept informed of the finer details, please contact Angela Glendenning on angela.glendenning@gmail.com or telephone 07485-127-949
