Some 50 people attended the film showing of GAZA on 13th May.
We raised £400 for Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP).
Many thanks for those who helped in the event and for your support.

Palestinian Market Stall in Leek
Saturday 20th April
We hope to resume the market stall in Leek with Zaytoun produce and Palestinian gift items. However, the Butter Market is being renovated so those stall holders are being given priority for outdoor stalls on that day. We will have a stall if there is space. Further information will be sent out to you when we know about availability.

Special film showing of Mapantsula
Tuesday 30th April

Foxlowe Arts Centre, Market Place, Leek ST13 6AD

2024 marks 30 years of liberation for South Africans. It is a time to celebrate and to reflect on the possibility of change. Mapantsula is touring cinemas across Britain and was the first true anti-apartheid film. its message of hope is clearly relevant today. Details of the showing are available at www.foxloweartscentre.org.uk

Palestinians in the West Bank cannot move more than 10 kilometres without being stopped by Israeli restrictions. Checkpoints, demands for permits, roadblocks and the apartheid wall surrounding the occupied territories are part of the struggle of daily life. Freedom to Run follows two groups of runners, one from Right to Movement in Palestine and one from Scotland, as they run together in Palestine and Scotland.
