This is open to all those from a mental health, counselling or social work background who are
concerned about the injustices in Palestine/Israel and the effects of oppression and
discrimination on the social life and mental well-being of Palestinians under military
occupation.
There will be the opportunity to share experiences of effective activism to promote justice.
You may be interested in the chance to join a group visiting Palestine/Israel in Spring 2018,
that will provide unique opportunities to find out first- hand what is going on and to meet
people in the area. Or you may want to hear from others who have done so in recent years
and who highly recommend these tours that connect with our professional colleagues. Come
and join us to discuss these things and more.
We are delighted that we will be joined by:
- Tamara Ben-Halim, co-founder of Makan, an educational platform dedicated to
re-framing the Palestinian experience by using a language of rights, equality, and dignity. - Linda Ramsden, founder/former Director Israeli Committee Against House Demolitions-UK
- Haim Bresheeth, academic, film maker, former IDF soldier, activist
