Cina’s Open Garden raises £1300 for the North Staffordshire Olive Tree Campaign

11 June 2017 by admin in Blog

Angela recorded what a marvellous day it had been despite wind and some drenching downpours. The elements cannot spoil such an alluring garden in such an arresting and beautiful setting. There is now a beehive as well as a prolific vegetable garden and all manner of plants for sale. The cakes including some Palestinian delicacies were superlative.

Zaytoun products sold well and the sturdy folk of Staffordshire Moorlands were not put off by the weather and arrived in droves.

The grand total of £1300 will buy 88 olive tree saplings for farmers struggling to maintain their livelihood against the increasing depredations of the Israeli military occupation.
