Steadfast Palestine: Trauma and Trees

Event on: 2016-February 6th 10:00 AM - 12:15 PM

10.00 – 12.15 at Quaker Meeting House, 2 Miller Street, Newcastle-under-Lyme ST5 1QJ

West Bank 2012 090

Muhammed Mukhaimar will discuss Sumud Palestine’s outreach and support for mental health workers in the West Bank and before long, we hope in Gaza.

Against the backcloth of a short film, Uprooted: The tale of Palestinian farmers, Angela Glendenning will describe why sponsoring olive trees strengthens farmers’ resolution to remain sumud and empowers the JAI Keep Hope Olive Tree Campaign to continue its advocacy for all those struggling to maintain a hold on their land.

Cina Zacune and Pat Mood, both of whom have shared in the West Bank olive harvest, will be ready to share their experience and answer questions.
