In April I spoke to a Rotary Club near Cannock Chase and in addition to a very good supper I returned home with £200. This above average amount from a small group was not solely attributable to my dynamic talk!
Pat had offered an overhead presentation on Picking Olives in Palestine a couple of months ago but returned home without even a contribution to petrol for a round trip of 80 miles. When I was invited I discretely suggested that a speaker raising money for a good cause welcomed some remuneration and this was the result.
A local group in Trentham needed no such prompting and offered £30 and the Sumud collecting tin garnered £26.20.
A few more requests are coming through as a result of a notice I sent around months ago.
