Kidsgrove Townswomen’s Guild

2 June 2014 by admin in Blog

Kidsgrove Townswomen’s Guild gave Pat Mood a very warm welcome when she spoke at their meeting last week.

They were interested to hear about the background to the current situation in Palestine, and to learn something of Angela’s and Pat’s experience of helping with the olive harvest and visits to Hebron, Jerusalem, the Separation Wall, an Israeli settlement and a Bedouin camp under threat of eviction.

Illustrated by a power point presentation, the pictures telling a story words can barely convey. In discussion members of the Guild contrasted what they had seen with their own impressions based on the usual ‘tourist’ routes and what they learn from the news.

The Kidsgrove Townswomen’s Guild gave a generous donation and expressed themselves interested to learn more.
